Restaurant des Juges

The Hague’s elegant Restaurant des Juges, located in the Peace Palace complex, is one of the world’s most exclusive dining rooms. After a closure spanning three years the famous restaurant reopened its doors on May 9th 2023.

When asked about the inspiration behind the restaurant's revival, Wilma Broekarts, General Manager, said, "Des Juges is a cornerstone of The Hague. There's no parallel to enjoying a meal at the Peace Palace amidst the city's most gorgeous gardens. This unique experience is something every diplomat cherishes. I felt it was my duty to maintain this tradition, especially with a team as incredible as ours. Our expert chefs, Mark Ligtvoet and Ed Gillisse, who bring their rich experience from distinguished restaurants, focus on traditional French cuisine incorporating Dutch ingredients wherever possible. They also enjoy incorporating elements from global culinary traditions. The renowned Tim Zinsmeyer will be your host in the restaurant, ensuring every detail of your lunch is meticulously attended to and you return to your office with a joyous spirit. What could be more satisfying?"

According to Ms. Boekarts, daily changes are in store for the 2nd and 3rd course menus, with alterations made as per customers' allergy requirements when necessary.
